About

José Antonio Torres Arteaga, LL.M.

Antonio Torres learned criminal procedure at the court clerk's desk before he practiced as a defender. From 2000 to 2010 he served as judicial clerk, process officer and court secretary in a criminal court, and then spent a year in the legal department of the Puerto Vallarta prison.

That experience is the foundation of his practice: he knows how a case file is built, how a ruling is drafted and what a judge needs to see. For seventeen years he has put it to work for his clients in private practice, including cases with national media coverage.

He leads the firm Antonio Torres y Asociados, serving clients in Puerto Vallarta and in federal matters.
